Fear Valley Medical Center is celebrating its 50th
year of service to our community. It opened in 1956 as
200-bed Cape Fear Valley Hospital serving the residents of
Cumberland County; today it is a 426-bed medical center
serving the Cape Fear region. It offers specialty services
in heart care, cancer treatment and surgical services.
HealthGrades, a
national consumer healthcare information company recently
recognized Cape Fear Valley as being among the top five
percent nationwide for clinical excellence in vascular
services.

Highsmith-Rainey
Memorial Hospital has served Fayetteville families
since its birth in 1901, when Dr. Jacob Franklin Highsmith
established Highsmith Hospital as the first private
hospital in North Carolina. With 112 beds, the hospital
specializes in Long-Term Acute Care for patients who
require bedside care by nurses with advanced clinical
skills. Highsmith-Rainey also houses ExpressCare,
Fayetteville’s only 24-hour urgent care center.

Fear Valley Medical Center, Southeastern
Regional Rehabilitation Center (SRRC) is a 78-bed
facility that provides inpatient and outpatient services
for adults and children. SRRC provides treatment for brain
injuries, spinal cord injuries, stroke and orthopedic
injuries. SRRC consistently lands among the top 10 percent
of similar facilities nationwide for patient outcomes.
